A few important notes about the
Spruce Knob Mountain Center

  • SKMC is a remote location. The nearest gas station is 12 miles away.  The nearest grocery store is an hour away. Please bring everything you think you may need and maybe some things you might not...just in case.  If you plan on cooking yourÄ« own meals, bring plenty of food, camp stove and fuel.
  • NO PETS! Unfortunately, pets are not allowed at the venue in order to promote the viewing of wildlife. Please leave Fang and Fluffy at home.  We're pet owners too, but we want to respect the rules of the venue and be invited back.  Thanks for understanding!
  • Good Samaritan Rule: Should you encounter an injured rider, please stop to ensure the rider is OK and determine if emergency aid is needed. You may be the first responder and it's important to help a fellow racer in need of medical help should the situation arise. For that reason, please keep track of the time you stopped to help and we'll do our best to adjust your finish time.
