The
Spruce Experience:
The Spruce Experience is a more laid
back approach, giving riders several options to ride a shortened course, but
still take in the beauty of the area on a supported ride. This is a great
opportunity to step back from competition and just enjoy the ride.
- You get aid station support, T-shirt, and a pint glass.
- There will be 2 course options for riders to choose from and all will provide the opportunity to ride up to Spruce Knob and back and enjoy some of the support of our aid stations and volunteers.
- Spruce Experience riders may start 10 minutes after the race start time.
Click on the links below for the Spruce Experience course options:
Spruce Highlights Course - This 32 mile course includes FR 916, Spruce Knob Lake, and the summit.
Direct Course - This course is the most direct, and "shortest" route to the summit from the venue.
Sag support will be shared with the racers, so try to be self-sufficient.
The same course cutoff times will apply to Spruce Experience riders as they do the other racers. Please be understanding of these cutoff times as they are for the safety of all participants and to ensure our volunteers aren't out there until after dark.
